Preliminary schedule is listed as follows:

Registration desk will be open on Sunday evening at Hotel AZUR and Monday at the Miraikan. All sessions will be held at the Miraikan from Monday to Friday. A welcome party with refreshment will be held on Sunday evening, August 31, at Hotel AZUR.
On Tuesday afternoon, the participants will visit RIKEN Wako campus in Saitama prefecture (next to Tokyo) for a tour of
RIKEN RI beam factory.
There are three big events planned for Wednesday. Prof. Iijima, who discovered carbon nanotubes, will give an invited lecture during the morning session. An excursion to enjoy the local atmosphere of Tokyo area will follow in the afternoon. We are going to visit Kanda-myoujin shrine to have a prayer ceremony, and then Tokyo sky-tree which is the world's highest free-standing tower for broadcasting. The day will close with a banquet on a cruise ship in the evening, where we can have dinner while enjoying the cruise in Tokyo-bay.

* Welcome party on Aug. 31 (Sun):
Welcome party will be held at Hotel AZUR 13F, banquet room "Asuka". In front of the room, a registration desk will be open during the party time. It will start from 17:30 till 19:30.

* Banquet on Sep. 3rd (Wed):
We will get on a cruise ship from Takeshiba passenger terminal where is just in front of Hotel AZUR at 18:40 18:30. You can enjoy a beautiful night cruising and a banquet till 21:30. If you need a request for the banquet dinner concerning vegetarian or food allergy, please tell the LOC in advance.

* Conference rooms at Miraikan :
All sessions will be held at the Miraikan 7F. Please have a look for a floor map of Miraikan in advance. The Conference room No.2 at 7F (max. 82 persons) will be mainly used. A prallel session is scheduled at Conference room No.1 at 7F on Sep. 4 (Thu).
Please use the service entrance shown in the right side of the 1F map and go up to the 7th floor by the elevator on the rightside of the service entrance. You can also use the main entrance of the museum (left side of 1F map) when the museum is open to the public. The opening time of the museum is 10:00 - 17:00 on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday to Saturday. (Tuesday is a regular holiday of the museum.)

* Lunch during the conference:
There are a few restaurants near the conference venue. We will give you an area map at the conference.
