Default conditions and parameters (WAS3ABi):

  • Double-Side Silicon Strip detector (DSSSD): Micron BB7 (2mm pitch) / BB28 (1mm pitch)
  • Size: 64 x 64 mm2
  • Thickness: 1 mm (typical)
  • Energy threshold: 20 ~ 30 keV (typical) & to be checked with the C2URIE)
  • Dynamic range: 20 keV ~ 2 MeV for beta & 200 keV ~ 20 MeV for RI (adjustable)
  • Number of channels: 256 channels or more
  • Detection Efficiency: 60 - 80 % (typical) ... Depending on the implantation depth in DSSSD
  • Beam loss from F11 to beta counter: 80-90% (typical), depending on beam focus and reactions in Al-degraders.
  • RI implantation rate: 100 cps (typical) ~ 300 cps (maximum) in total
  • The charged particle veto detector (plastic scintillation detectors): To be installed after the DSSSDs.
  • Shield box: Al plate (0.2 mm thickness)
  • Cooling: Optional
  • Others: The DSSSDs are expected to be provided by users.
