Abstract: In this talk, I present a rigorous technique for computing equilibrium fluctuations in relativistic systems. This technique is the relativistic generalization of the Fox-Uhlenbeck method, and it can be applied to any macroscopic model of matter, including kinetic theory, hydrodynamics, and rheology. I will also provide a broad overview of its mathematical features and recent applications. Particular attention will be given to fluctuations in kinetic theory.
