Abstract:
A multi-stage approach to describing the fusion-fission reactions
by using Langevin equations is presented. The results obtained after
describing the fusion stage are used as input data for the stage of
fission. It appears possible to describe satisfactorily the fusion
and fission cross section by dividing the process to several stages.
At the same time a satisfactory description of the fission fragment
mass-energy distribution and the fragment mass dependence of
the prefission neutrons are obtained. From the calculation is follow
that all the fission features of reaction can be described without
the formation of compound nucleus. However, the duration of the process
is long enough to distinguish the events described from the case of
the "true" fission via the compound nucleus formation.
